The Howard Scott Show airing live every Wednesday at 6:00pm CST on fbrn.us is a show that’s truly unique is capturing the heart of music, culture and the power of storytelling. Each week, we celebrate the rich tapestry of music history. Juke Joint Wednesday, Howard dives into the blues, honoring legends of the past and present. The show is not just about playing songs, but also about honoring the roots and stories behind the music.
Artist such as Muddy Waters, Little Milton, Jr. Parker, B B King, Big Maybelle, Big Mama Thorton and Z Z Hill just to name a few. The show is not all about the blues, with Alex Pic, we spotlight incredible new artist from around the world, giving them a platform for their voices and sounds to reach you first.
Our call in quest become a part of the show by rating each artist live, sharing their thoughts on the future music. The special episodes are always unforgettable. Gospel shows that take you to foot stomping soul spirit. Showcase Doo-wop and past singing groups.
Special events such as Black History Month, History of Independent Record Companies such as Duke Records, Philly International, Staxx Records, Far Out are just some of the independent music companies that are discussed and the artist that were associated with each company.
Also Cinco de Mayo when the honored guest was Delores Huerta, the legendary labor and civil rights activists co-founding The United Farm Workers (UFW) with Cesar Chavez. Special guest on the show have been Henry Franklin world renowned jazz bassist who played on the original Grazing In The Grass with Hugh Masekela, Lee Oskar and Harold Brown the original members WAR, Lance Ellis grammy award winner, Joe Simon one of his last interviews, Wayne Joel renowned Disc Jockey, Chris Houston engineer for WAR music and James Brown and our special guest that came to the show from Frankfurt,Germany, Michael Roth.
